HeNN Sweden provide financial support to Shree Dhuukurpani Secondary School, a community school located in Damak municipality, Damak-3 Jhapa, Nepal to implement Water Sanitatioin and Hygiene(WASH) project. The project has been comleted with support of HeNN Sweden and students have been using the facilities.
Year 2017, August, thousands of families in the sourther part of the country, had been forced to flee their homes to escape the floods that have claimed lives, destroyed homes and ruined food stocks. HeNN Sweden took action on immediate support by funding on different activities as a short term project.
HeNN-Sweden financed NRs.9,98096 (SEK 77,012.55) to the construction of two classrooms in primary school in 18th October, 2018 as a long term project. The school was damaged by the flood.
HeNN-Sweden helped Sharada Secondary School, Madanpokhara, Palpa to install the Water Filtration Unit that would avail qualitative drinking water based on the guidelines developed by the Government of Nepal. Splash Nepal (Prabhav) provided technical support for the installation of the WASH Infrastructure.With this setup more than 400 students in the school can, now drink clean safe water and this has made positive impact on students’ health. HeNN-Sweden contributed NRs. 3,50,000 ( 28,245.84SEK). The project was completed in 2018.

Of the total requirement of NRs. 4,13,900 (or 41,390 SEK), HeNN-Sweden contributed NRs. 2,00,000 ( or SEK 20,000 in June 2011. Students, teachers as well as members of the local community have benefited from the new library.
Shree Tribhuvaneshwori Higher Secondary School, located in Chatara-5 of Bajura district, was established in 1960. The school had three buildings with 10 classrooms altogether. There were 17 teachers, and 571 students from class one to 12. The school wanted to expand with a well-equipped two-room library building.

HeNN-Sweden donated SEK 25,000 (NRs. 301,742) to Clean up Nepal, a non-governmental organization who was working on WASH areas to strengthen the rehabilitation program after massive earthquake, 2015. The fund provided could conduct a WASH (Wash, Sanitation and Hygiene) training at schools and distributed hygiene packs to 815 households at the village development committees of Gotikel and Thuladharlung in Lalitpur District in June 2015.
Dudhpokhari Lower Secondary School was established in 1966 and later upgraded to lower secondary in 2000. There are 113 students up to class eight. Four out of nine classrooms were damaged in the 2015 earthquake affecting regular classes at the school. Classes were being conducted in temporary shelters. The school approached HeNN to rebuild damaged classrooms. HeNN-Sweden financed this project with NRs. 9,14,051.5( or 70,706.8 SEK). The project is currently in its third phase. A second installment project report was submitted to HeNN in March 2017.The school has completed damp proofing (DPC) and construction of external walls.

NRs 1,12,400 donated on 4th of August, 2008 to implement an imperative training and awareness program for the welfare of the local population of Mugu district. The program targeted awareness in upgrading the sanitation and nutritional behavior/habits of the local people.
Help Nepal Network constructed a health post in Murma, a remote village in Mugu district of western Nepal in 2004.Of the total project cost of around USD14,000, 50% came as an in-kind support from the local community. The project included acquiring the land, and costs related to building material and labor.
Day to day running of the center is supervised by the village committee with monthly reports submitted to both local government as well as HeNN. Operating cost of the health post is taken care by HeNN.
Over the years, the health post has had a discernibly positive impact on the lives of the locals and of those living in surrounding villages.Common ailments (e.g. fever, headaches, gastrointestinal and seasonal diseases, etc.) can now be treated locally. There has been a significant improvement in the quality of life and villagers don’t have to walk two and a half hours to reach the government hospital in Gamgadhi anymore.
Medicines at the health post typically cost half of what they cost at the pharmacies in Gamgadhi. The health post now provides services to more than 400 households.
NRs 75,276 donated in May 2006 for the day to day operation of the post.
